| Care with kojic acid |
Characteristics: Also known in ancient Japan (geisha used it for porcelain skin), as a strong bleaching agent. Kojic acid is produced by the fungus Aspergillus fermentation of different cereals. Known is the ability to inhibit the enzyme tyrosinase in the synthesis of melanin (melanogenesis). Includes in melanogenesis with active carboxylic group by inhibiting tyrosinase and from there eventually and melanin synthesis. Powerful tool to combat unwanted pigmentation. However whitening plant complex (active fruit acids and peroxide group) has a bleaching effect on the emergent pigment.
Wattle extract regenerates and softens.
Use in home care as a night or for a better performance in the whitening products in the same series.
